...because tarot attracts fascinating, box-defying humans who otherwise only find each other by pretending to be teacher/student or reader/seeker when what they're really doing is seeking connection.
the big not secret
This isn't actually about learning or mastering tarot.
I'm using tarot as a lure to bring together interesting people and connect. Because guess what? Tarot attracts fascinating people who often don't fit into a "normal" box, but the only way we can find each other is when one of us is in the role of teacher or student, reader or seeker and oftentimes we're in those roles because we are SEEKING connection.
I think that's silly and unnecessary, so let's just stop pretending, and get together with the cards as our safety blankets and get in a room together.
what it looks like
Each meeting of the "society" will start with a prompt, like "I wonder…" we'll pull cards, dive in, and then talk about what we came up with. I expect it to go anywhere and everywhere, and that's kind of the point: connecting with one another and learning new shit through tarot.
society directory
You can opt in to share your contact info with the rest of the society, because how annoying is it to have to do that awkward thing of creepily sliding into someone's DMs after you meet them in a class, or having to go to 96 classes before you see someone enough to think they might be a friend.
The society directory will also act as a place for people whose work or offerings might sit outside the bounds of conventional labels or disciplines.
